I think and feel that, considering the current pandemic, the online live classes are extremely intense and informative, and so far the professor's I have had are patient and friendly and always ready to help with ensuring that the students are working and getting through the semester appropriately. I really enjoy and feel blessed that I am able and have the opportunity to be a student of Brookdale Community College. It's an amazing school with all types of people from different backgrounds and culture. I love it.

It’s a good place to test the waters of college. It helps prepare you for four year colleges by giving you more of a foundation than high school. The teachers at Brookdale take pride in helping their students. There’s also many avenues you can use to get academic help. Overall i think it’s a great school and it helps you save some money.

Its a nice school to start off with if you're looking to save money through classes. They have a big focus on their nursing degrees and they're classes are very good. I've been here three years and I'm going to transfer in the fall, Brookdale definitely prepared me for what I will face in a university.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    If I were able to go back in time and give myself advice about college I would tell my self to go to community college. After high school I wanted to get out and be on my own, so I went away to a state college and lived on campus. Living on my own I was not able to balance my time, get my work done or be on any normal schedule. After my first year away from home I decided to come back home and try community college out. Brookdale has been able to truly prepare me for my future and pointed me in the right direction.

    Many of the classmates that I have been around are irresponsible, lazy and unmotivated, regardless of what the professors try to do to get them involved in class activites.

    All the oppurtunities the school has to offer. The events they hold, and the education system. You can really get one-on-one time with your professor and actually learn and understand the material.

    It offers a multitude of options when trying to choose your field of study. From medical to arts, from a 2 year transferable degree so you can continue on to a 2 year career degree so you are able to enter into the workforce with the education and skills you need. The campus offeres a community feel to encourage students, it offers a feeling all are welcome and doesn't make a student feel overwhelmed. Of the various schools visited, Brookdale offered the most comfort and selection for my needs and goals at this time.

  8. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    I wish that i would have known that there are not many events that take place during the night. I also would have liked to know that no clubs meet after two in the afternoon. This is because i had a full time job during the morning and better part of the afternoon leaving only the night for classes and activities.

    People who want to succeed and flourish from their education should attend Brookdale.   10. What kind of person should not attend this school?

    Brookdale Community College is open to all resident in Monmouth County, thus it is a college of diversity, and students who do not enjoy such learning environment should not attend Brookdale. Brookdale average class size is small (30/1), so students that prefer bigger classes shouldn't apply. Also, students who do not wish to be bother by tedious college transfer process, or student who like to have on-campus housing experience, should not attend a community college.

    I like the diversity of the majors and class options. As I am planning to transfer, I like that alot of the classes that are available to me are classes that are offered at the other institution I would like to attend. Knowing that they are transferable and I am not taking wastefull classes is very important to me.

    Overall i would have to say school i am attending is great because of the abundance resources they have to offer. It is a great environment to learn and meditate on the school work. The only bad thing about the school which could be consider as the worst, is in fact a problem in all colleges. The worst thing about colleges is the books ordeal. However, like i said that is widespread issue

    Brookdale Community College is best known for giving a really great higher education experience for much less than many other four year institutions. It also is one of the only colleges in the area to give free learning assistance to any student who asks for it. Brookdale is known as the flagship community college for the state of New Jersey out of 22 community colleges due to its outstanding service to its students and their wallets.

    The Engineering teachers are great I have no complaints there. Brookdale doesn't feel like a real college cause there isnt much campus life. It feels like high school just better.

    Brookdale students are know for never hanging out in the college. They go to class and go directly back home. Totally accurate

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
