They had wonderful guides and were able to answer my questions. The campus is beautiful, and is easy to navigate. They have a stunning library with study rooms and easily accessible resources. There is a very positive energy to the campus and its students.

Brigham Young University-Provo (BYU) is a wonderful community for young adults pursuing higher education. From the beautiful campus to the variety of readily available resources, BYU is as great as it can get! No matter where I walk, I see spiritual potential among all the students and staff at the university. Bulletin boards and social media accounts are filled with extracurricular and outreaching programs and events for students to get involved in. If I had never heard of BYU and toured the campus for one day, I would want to fill out my application as soon as possible!

Brigham Young University has the resources and capacity as a great research school with an excellent geology program, dedicated geology professors, and excellent fieldwork opportunities. My department needs to work on pushing more publishable research from students and highlighting this research. It feels like a college town but can be hard to navigate during the big football games and there is more of a focus on school sports vs. school arts and could use more of a balance. There is also a heavy bias towards degrees leading towards careers vs degrees to more schooling at times it felt.

Camilla - 05/31/2024

Brigham Young University is a very academically rigorous institution. The professors and administration take BYU's mission very seriously of creating students into citizens who can contribute positively to their communities both physically and spiritually.

I brag about the environment. Brigham Young University is known very well for it's high expectations regarding moral standards. Because virtuous living is promoted here, there is an uplifting feeling on campus and in the off-campus housing for BYU. I grew up in Las Vegas, and can say that the feelings I experienced there were much different, much more negative, than what I have felt here. 15. What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love BYU. Lots of people dont. People that come to BYU do so because they want to be around other people who share their morals and standards. We dont want to have the temptation of drinking and partying that exists at other schools. This is a huge reason people come here but then a lot of kids complain that Provo is a boring town...which its not at all. We are 20 minutes from 11 incredible ski and snowboard resorts. There is tons to do in Provo. Bowling, iceskating, tons of sports, concerts, tooons of places to go out to eat, dance parties all the time, etc. Dont complain if you come here. YOU chose to come here.
