University of Central Florida Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about University of Central Florida?

Monica

The parking situation. The school keeps taking away parking lots to build new class buildings. I understand that they are building to accommodate the various programs the university offers, but it makes finding parking to be almost impossible.

Deborah

The most frustrating thing about my school is sometimes you have to go to the main campus to speak with an advisor and I take classes at a satellite campus. They should make it more accessible with the advisor's at the campus that you attend and give the advisor's more authority to assist students on satellite campus'.

Shana

The Rosen College of Hospitality Management is located almost 30 minutes south of the UCF main campus!

Danielle

This past semester I had some help getting guidance on what classes to enroll for my major. At the time of my scheduled enrollment, every class I needed to take for my major had already been full. After checking the enrollment several times everyday for weeks, I now have enough credits to be enrolled full-time.

Rebekah

The cost of tuition being on the rise. Living is very expensive for a student.

Kimberly

It took a long time for my financial aide money to come through. Had to send additional information multiply times.

Angelica

Parking is the worst part of UCF, there's never enough spots.

Bryan

When it comes to things that are frustrating at the University of Central Florida there aren't too many topics. The thing that frustrates me the most is trying to find parking. I live off campus and have to drive to school each day. During the beginning of the semester is the hardest time to find parking. It can easily take up to forty-five minutes to find a spot. It seems that the influx of new students each year to the campus is too much for the slow growth of parking spots.

Ana-Christina

Some classes tend to be so big that most students don't get to know each other.

Isaac

The Library is too small. Need to make another one.

Nicole

Parking

Josh

Lots of drinking. Some of the professors are very very slow about feedback, making finding out what exact grades are somewhat difficult at times.

Janice

The most frustrating thing about my school is that it should offer more online courses. In this technological age, I believe it is time for universities to move forward and offer more online courses to those who have jobs or children to take care of and are not able to physically attend a lecture.

Geri

The most frustrating thing about UCF is that since there are so many students, classes fill up quickly and sometimes students are unable to to choose the classes they need. Also, the order that students get to choose their classes is a little unfair. Students get to choose their classes in order of GPA and educational programs that they are involved in. Therefore, some students are able to pick classes whole semesters earlier then other students.

Angela

I would have to say it is the activity groups on campus who harrass you every time you walk past the student union. Sure, they have a right to inform students about their various grievances but if you blow them off or disagree they just don't quit! It can get really annoying, but maybe that's just my personal oppinion.

Natalie

The most frustrating thing about school is the financial aspect of it. School is so important and when I graduate from UCF I will be able to become an elementary school teacher-my life long dream. I work very hard at both work and school, and I am frustrated that I do not qualify for financial aid. I have been claiming myself on my taxes for the past 4 years as well as living on my own with no financial help from my parents. It would be a gift from God if I received some sort of financial help.

Kayla

well it is my first year and to be perfectly honest...i have yet to run into any frustrateing problems dealing with the school itself

Holly

PARKING.

Kathleen

I had to send and resend documents and paperwork from my community college to the university before my information was settled.

Kathleen

One of the most frustrating things about UCF is the minimal amount of parking. You can easily expect to look for a parking spot for at least an hour before you find one. The other is that they allow smoking in areas where it is against the law because it is "inconvient to inforce that law".
