This scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate North Carolina students who are under 25 at time of application and plan to attend or are attending a North Carolina college. Students must have a veteran parent who is or was at time of death drawing pension for total and permanent disability as rated by the USDVA OR a veteran parent who is a deceased war veteran who was honorably discharged and who does not qualify for any other education assistance offered by NCDVA OR a veteran parent who served in a combat zone, or waters adjacent to a combact zone, and received a campaign badge or medal and who does not qualify for any other education assistance offered by NCDVA.
This award is available to Maryland students who are planning to enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college or university. The student must be a: dependent of a deceased or disabled veteran; disabled veteran; dependent of a victim of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; veteran or dependent of a veteran who was declared POW/MIA in Vietnam; dependent of a deceased or disabled state/local public safety employee/volunteer; deceased or disabled state/local public safety employee/volunteer; or dependent of a school employee who died or was disabled in the line of duty.
This scholarship is available for Maine undergraduate and graduate students who are the children or grandchildren of a veteran who belongs to an American Legion post in Maine.
This award is available for U.S students who are members of the U.S. Armed Forces or commissioned officers in the U.S. Public Health Service, and their spouse or child. Applicants must be attending a public college or university in Texas as a non-resident student.
This award is avialable to Massachusetts undergraduate students who are planning to enroll full-time at a Massachusetts college or university. Students must have a parent and or spouse who is killed or missing in the line of public service duty in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
This award is available to Ohio residents who are children of deceased or severely disabled veterans that served during a time of declared war or conflict. Students must be under the age of 25 and be enrolled full-time at an eligible postsecondary institution in Ohio.
This award is available for U.S. high school seniors or older students planning to enroll full time in an undergraduate program of study. This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are the dependent child of a U.S. soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, or guardsman who was killed or permanently disabled (100 percent rating) as a result of an operational mission or training accident, OR a dependent child of a soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, or guardsman who is currently classified as a POW or MIA. Students must be 26 years of age or younger.
The Seabee Memorial Scholarship is given to children and grandchildren of regular, reserve, retired, or deceased officers or enlisted members who have served or who are now serving with the Naval Construction Force. Scholarship awards are based on financial need, character, good citizenship, leadership, and scholastic record.
This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are 23 years of age or younger. Students must be a dependent child of an active duty personnel, reserve/guard, or a retired military member. Dependent children of employees of DoD, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), Public Health Services or other federal or military related agencies or activities are not eligible unless they also meet the above requirement. Students must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and not be married.
