Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student.
  2. Must be female.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must reside in and have attended high school in Ventura County, California.
  5. Must be majoring in a healthcare related field.

Description: The Edna Wirt Woods and Ruth Nagel Scholarship Fund is available for female high school seniors and previous high school graduates from Ventura County, California. Applicants must be majoring in a health-related field and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The Edna Wirt Woods and Ruth Nagel Scholarship Fund is provided annually through a partnership with the Ventura County Community Foundation. Scholarships are awarded to female residents of Ventura County who are currently graduating from high school or are previous graduates of a local area high school. Applicants must be majoring in a healthcare-related field and must demonstrate high levels of academic achievement. Additional preference will be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in a field related to hearing and speech disorders.

Award Amount: $1,000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
