Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of the Hilo Coast and the Hamakua Coast, north of the Wailuku River, in Hawaii.
  3. Must major in agriculture, science, medicine or nursing.
  4. Must attend or plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credits per semester for graduate).
  5. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in agriculture, science, medicine, or nursing and have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher. Additional Information: Hawai'i Community Foundation's scholarship program is made up of over 100 different scholarship funds established by generous individuals, businesses, or organizations to assist Hawai'i residents in obtaining a college education. Some of the funds are part of the Hawai'i Community Foundation and some represent private foundations that have asked the Hawai'i Community Foundation to administer their scholarships. In addition to other requirements, applicants must also demonstrate financial need and good moral character.

Award Amount: Approximately $2,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may re-apply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
