Number of Awards & Eligibility: 10 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be of Filipino ancestry.
  3. Must major in a health-related field.
  4. Must be a resident of Hawaii. Preference may be given to students studying in Hawai'i.
  5. Must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credits per semester for graduate).
  6. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  8. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Hawaii undergraduate and graduate students who are of Filipino ancestry and are majoring in a health-related field. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: This scholarship is funded by Dr. Cora Manayan, a prominent doctor and community activist in Hawai'i. To Dr. Manayan, living the good life means dedicating one's life to serving others. Understanding the value of education, she established this fund to open the doors of education to others like her. Applicants must demonstrate good moral character and financial need. Please note: Preference may be given to students studying in Hawai'i. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.

Award Amount: Approximately $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
