Number of Awards & Eligibility: 18 scholarships will be awarded in each of the fall and spring terms for a total of 36 scholarships.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must pursue a career in nursing.
  3. Must be enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, an academic nursing education program based in Arizona.
  4. Must enroll part time or full time at an accredited college or university.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must be a current or incoming undergraduate or graduate student.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for students who are legal residents of the state of Arizona. Students must have been accepted to or currently be enrolled in an academic nursing education program based in Arizona.

Application requirements for the Arizona Nurses Foundation Academic Scholarship are:

  • Proof of acceptance/enrollment
Additional Information: The AzNF serves as a resource to all Arizona nurses by supporting scientific and educational activities. The purpose of the scholarship program is to enhance the development of Arizona nurses and further the nursing profession by providing scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, academic nursing education programs based in Arizona. Selection will be based on the applicant's potential for leadership in nursing (merit), commitment to professional nursing in Arizona, extracurricular activities, and need for financial assistance. Applications are competitive and are reviewed independently by a panel of registered nurses. Decisions are criterion-based and non-discriminatory. At the discretion of the panel of reviewers, telephone interviews may be conducted to facilitate the decision-making process.

Award Amount: The amount of money awarded is determined by the Council of Trustees of the AzNF. The award amount are as follows: A.D.N applicants - $500; BSN and RN-to-BSN applicants - $1,000; graduate applicants - $2,500. All awards are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,333.
