Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards is at the discretion of the DCF Scholarship Commitee.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Delaware. Preference will be given to residents of Sussex County.
  4. Must be a high school graduate or current college student. The student must enroll as an undergraduate in the fall of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must be active in community service.
  7. Must pursue a career in agriculture, agri-business, or a green energy-related field.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is for Delaware undergraduate students who are pursuing a career in agriculture, agri-business, or a green energy-related field. Preference is given to residents of Sussex County.

  • FAFSA
  • Test scores (HS sr. only)
  • Tax return
  • Essays (2)
  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: To ensure complete impartiality in selection of recipients and to maintain a high level of professionalism, DCF programs are administered by AcademicWorks, a firm that specializes in managing sponsored scholarship programs.All students must have a low to moderate income. An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering: extracurricular activities; community involvement; essay content; academic achievements and records; financial need (optional). Decisions of the selection committees are final and are not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given. Notifications are sent to recipients and applicants not selected to receive an award via email by the end of June.

Award Amount: Award amounts are at the discretion of the DCF Scholarship Committee. Awards are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
