Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: International and U.S. students enrolled in a North American institution who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are majoring in food science, chemical science, biological science, or a related area and have a demonstrated interest in confectionery technology are eligible to apply.

  • Recommendation letter (upon request)
  • Activities listing
  • Personal and professional goals statement
Additional Information: Applications are available online from the American Association of Candy Technologists (ACCT) website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit official transcripts; a separate attachment listing his/her academic activities including those relating to confectionery technology, experience (work, internships, volunteer activities, etc.); other activities; honors and awards; a short statement of personal and professional goals; and the name of a reference familiar with his/her academic activities who is willing to submit a recommendation upon request.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable. The award will be paid in two equal installments after verification of enrollment.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
