Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO)

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior who has been accepted at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical institution.
  4. Must be a COMTO member OR the child of a COMTO member.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher upon graduation from high school.
  6. Must express a desire to work in the field of transportation.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors who are members of COMTO or the children of COMTO members are eligible for this award. Students must have a desire to work in the field of transportation and a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Additional Information: Winners will be notified by May 15, 2019. Selections will be made by a team of industry professionals and representatives from the academic community. Winners will be announced at the COMTO National Meeting and Training Conference Scholarship Luncheon in Detroit, MI. Scholarship recipients may be asked to attend the National Scholarship Luncheon to be held at the annual conference in Detroit on July 11-14.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
