Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Maine.
  3. Must plan to attend college in Maine.
  4. Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program for a bachelor's degree or higher.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  6. Must have an overall grade point average of 'C' or better in his/her current program.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is given to Maine residents planning to pursue or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in a nursing program in Maine.

Application requirements for the OMNE/Nursing Leaders of Maine Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Personal statement
  • Proof/enrollment
Additional Information: A committee established by OMNE/Nursing Leaders reviews and ranks each application, based on academic achievement and letters of recommendation. Recipients will be selected by June 1.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
