Description: The John R Sandberg Memorial Scholarship is available for U.S. residents who are pursuing a career in an aviation-related field, or those who are active in their local aviation community.

Additional Information: This award is provided to honor the memory of John R. Sandberg, a Minneanapolis native and aircraft mechanic & engineer who always believed in helping others. Traditional students, older students, and even retired contributors to the local aviation community are encouraged to apply. The EAA Aviation Foundation Scholarship Program encourages, recognizes and supports excellence among individuals studying the technologies and the skills needed in the field of aviation. Applicants must be well-rounded: involved in school and community activities, as well as aviation. Their academic record should show that they can successfully complete the educational activity for which they are requesting the scholarship.

Award Amount: $5000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
