Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered if they have otherwise outstanding qualifications or extenuating circumstances.
  3. Must pursue a career in commercial floriculture.
  4. Must be a college junior or senior at the time of application.
  5. Must be a citizen or resident of the U.S. or Canada OR be enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Canada.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. and Canadian college juniors and seniors who are planning a career in commercial floriculture. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher; applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered if they have otherwise outstanding qualifications or extenuating circumstances.

Additional Information: Ball Horticultural Company is a leading international breeder, producer and wholesale distributor of floriculture products. Ball brings the beginnings of color, foliage, fruit and form to professional growers around the world for the retail and landscape markets. Each student who has won a scholarship will be sent a notification letter by U.S. mail. Scholarship decisions will be made by August of each year.

Award Amount: $900 annually, non-renewable. All scholarships are provided as cash awards with checks issued jointly in the name of the recipient and the college or institution he/she will be attending in the fall.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $900.
