Number of Awards & Eligibility: 12 awards offered annually, one per named award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a full-time resident of New England.
  4. Must be 15 years of age or older at time of application.
  5. Must take flight training at a New England facility doing business as a flight school.
  6. Must intend to pursue a professional aviation career.
  7. Must have accumulated total flight time of 10 hours for the primary training scholarships, and 100 hours for the advanced training and instrument training scholarships.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are 15 years of age or older and pursuing a professional aviation career as a pilot. Students must be residents of New England and attend flight school in New England.

Additional Information: This scholarship program includes several named awards. The following awards are given for advanced training: the Anne Bridge Baddour Scholarship; the David Frawley Memorial Scholarship; the Lockhart Smith Memorial Scholarship; the Ann Wood-Kelly Memorial Scholarship; and the North Andover Hangar Association Memorial Scholarship. The following awards are given for instrument training: the Dean Edmonds Scholarship; the Dr. Gary P. Kearney Scholarship; the Gerard A. Bures Memorial Scholarship; and the Crocker Snow Memorial Scholarship. The following awards are given for primary training: the Bauer-Bisgeier Memorial Scholarship; the Andrew Channing Cabot Memorial Scholarship; and the Michael T. Hadik Memorial Scholarship. All students must meet the following criteria: hold a current Airman Certificate (unless pursuing primary training); hold a current Medical Certificate; demonstrate financial need; demonstrate exceptional scholastic ability; and have a biennial flight review (unless pursuing primary training).

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $3,000 annually, and all awards are non-renewable. Specific award amounts are listed on the application. Recipients must use scholarship funds within one year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,775.
