Additional Information: The goal of Out to Protect is to aid in the education and training of new police recruits who identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay, or transgendered and serve as a positive influence on the law enforcement community. Award selection is typically announced in June and December of each year.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
