The Society of Women Engineers is a member agency whose mission is to empower women within the engineering industry. One way they do this is through scholarship programs. There are 8 Exxon Mobil Engineering Scholarships of $2,500 each for freshman studying CE, ChE, EE, PetE, or mechanical engineering who have at least a 3.5 GPA.
Exxon Mobil Engineering Scholarship (Renewable) awards go to four freshman who are also U.S. citizens. Candidate must attend an ABET accredited university in the U.S. Minimum GPA: 3.5. Hyundai Motor America is driven by better. From engineering a more sustainable and autonomous future in mobility for tomorrow to giving back to local communities today, everything Hyundai does is guided by one question: How can we make things better? To close the gender gap in STEM, they offer a Hyundai Women in STEM Scholarship. Participants must be high school seniors or undergraduate students who are female, reside in the United States and wish to pursue a STEM-related field of education. Eligible students can apply for the award by writing an essay of 500 words or more on why they chose to pursue a STEM-related field and what drives them to be better. Five scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each will be awarded to female students.
This award is available for U.S. and Canadian undergraduate students who are 18 years of age or older and are pursuing welding or engineering technology degrees. Students must have a minimum GPA 2.8 or a minimum 3.0 GPA in engineering courses. Priority is given to those residing or attending school in Alabama, Georgia or Florida.
The AfterCollege Engineering Student Scholarship is available to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students majoring in a field of engineering, technology and/or mathematics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, etc.. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
This scholarship is open to female U.S. incoming and current freshmen who are majoring in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, and systems engineering. Students must attend eligible schools as listed on the SWE website.
