Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for international and U.S. undergraduate women majoring in any field of engineering. Applicant must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Meredith Thoms Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • College acceptance letter
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer.) The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a computer science or engineering program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $3200  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $16,000.
