Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
  3. Must have a permanent residence in Miami-Dade or Monroe counties in Florida.
  4. Must be majoring in engineering.
  5. Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at the time of application.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must be enrolled full time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. students or international students who are permanent residents of Miami. Students be majoring in engineering and must have completed at least one year of full time undergraduate study at the time of application.

Application requirements for the Cesar A. Calas/FES Miami Chapter Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Interview
Additional Information: Evaluation will be made on the basis of academic performance, work experience, activities, honors, and letters of recommendation, along with evidence of leadership, motivation, character, and self-reliance. Special emphasis will be given to performance in the math and basic science classes identified on the course list on the application.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
