Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student to apply for this award.
  3. Must be pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering.
  4. Must be an Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) member as reflected on his/her October chapter roster or before. New member applications must be completely processed prior to the end of September in order for a student to be eligible.
  5. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
  7. Must plan to attend a college or university in the U.S. or its territories, Canada or Mexico.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for current undergraduate students who are majoring in industrial engineering, have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher, and are members of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers. Students may attend a college in the U.S. or U.S. territories, Canada, or Mexico.

Application requirements for the A.O. Putnam Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Priority consideration is given to, but not limited to, students who have demonstrated an interest in management consulting. The nominee's scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the industrial engineering profession, and need for financial assistance are all considered by the scholarship fund trustees when selecting the scholarship recipient. Students must have a graduation date of May/June 2018 or later.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
