Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to four scholarships awarded annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior about to enter his or her first year of college.
  2. Must be majoring in or planning to major in nuclear engineering.
  3. Must enroll full-time.
  4. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  5. Must attend an accreditted institution in the U.S.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for graduating U.S. high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering.

Application requirements for the ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship is awarded to graduating high-school seniors who have enrolled full time, in college courses and are pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or have the intent to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
