Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have performed research on the non-destructive testing of concrete.
  3. Must have performed research work while enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Description: Undergraduate or graduate international and U.S. students who have performed research on the non-destructive testing of concrete are eligible for this award. To apply, students must submit a technical paper that should be both original and innovative.

Application requirements for the ACI James Instruments Student Award for Research on NDT of Concrete are:

  • Essay
Additional Information: The applicant need not be enrolled at the time of submission, but the work must have been performed by a student while enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate) at an accredited institution of higher education. The work must have been completed within two years of submission.

Award Amount: $1,500 cash prize annually, non-renewable. The award will be presented at the ACI Spring Convention.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
