Number of Awards & Eligibility: Multiple awards offered annually. Last year, nine awards were given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be female.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be planning a career in information technology or a related field.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available to U.S. female undergraduate students who are planning a career in information technology or a related field. The student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS) Program are:

  • Application form
  • Unofficial Transcript
  • Essay
  • Activities resume
Additional Information: Students will be evaluated on: academic performance; the application essay; and level of participation in community service and/or extracurricular activities.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
