Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for female U.S. college sophomores and juniors who major in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or systems engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and attend select institutions as listed on the SWE website.

Application requirements for the Northrop Grumman Foundation Scholarship for Sophomores & Juniors are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • College acceptance letter
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applicants must not be receiving full funding for education (tuition, fees, and books or equivalent) from their school or another organization (e.g., members of the Armed Services attending U.S. military academies, students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). Applicants must be enrolled in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation information for specific programs is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.
