Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be graduating from Lakeland High School in Westchester County, New York.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must plan to major in journalism.
  4. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Description: This award is available for a graduating senior from Lakeland High School who plans to major in communications at any accredited college or university in the United States.

Application requirements for the Bret Allen Frattellone Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript
  • Student Aid Report
Additional Information: Established in memory of Bret Allen Frattellone, this scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior from Lakeland High School who plans to major in communications at any accredited college or university in the United States.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
