Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must be an undergraduate student.
  4. Must be majoring in business.
  5. Must reside in Kent or Ottawa County, Michigan.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must demonstrate unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career. This scholarship is sponsored by the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, and it will be awarded each year to a student from Kent or Ottowa County who is currently majoring in business at the undergraduate level.

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the student's unmet need and the availability of funds. Average awards are about $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
