  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The Betty Charlton Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating high school seniors from the city of Shawnee, Kansas. Applicants much demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a history of leadership. The administration and management of this scholarship is provided through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. Originally founded in 1978, the GKCCF was designed to provide a single point of support and professional charity organization for various charitable organizations throughout the local area. Over the years, the scope of this mission has expanded to include grants, scholarships, and other philanthropic initiatives within Kansas City, throughout the Midwest, and even nation-wide. Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship funds will be paid fully in a single installment.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
