Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  4. Must be a high school senior who will earn a diploma or GED by the start of the upcoming school year.
  5. Must enroll on a half-time (six credits) basis or higher.
  6. Must seek education or training in architecture, architectural engineering, computer graphics and animation, fine arts, interior design, studio art, or a related field.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to Vermont high school seniors who seek education or training in architecture, architectural engineering, computer graphics and animation, fine arts, interior design, studio art, or a related field. Students must demonstrate financial need and education/work ethic.

Additional Information: This scholarship was created to honor John and Ruth's commitment to art and design, learning, and international travel. Please note: This scholarship is funded by an endowment subject to laws restricting disbursements under certain investment yield scenarios; as a result, there can be no guarantee of a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and education/work ethic. Selection is based on application documents and financial need. There are approximately 12 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
