I wish I had known more about my financial options for paying for school. I wish I'd taken more time to research scholarships, loan options, and employment.

There is more to life than high school. People in college do not care who you were in college. Just be yourself in college and you will find the perfect people to fit in with.

One thing that I did not know before I came to the University of Memphis, or college period, was how hard the classes were going to be. AAt my high school very few teachers gave challenging work or forced students to do any type of work at all. While I learned some in high school, I did not learn good study methods because all of my tests were verey eassy. I wish that I had known college was going to be so much different than high school in a studying/testing aspect. It can really affect your GPA and scholarships.

More communication concerning meeting like minded people, possible professors interested in mentoring students. Interested in more ways to get in touch with the University.

I wish I had known that there was practically no parking on campus. There are several student parking lots yet they are separate from campus and not very well lit at night. Also safety and crime are issues that the campus police and memphis police are constantly working on. All in all its a nice campus.

get involved in as much as you can handle and how bad the traffic is.
