The stereotype for this school is unknown to me, considering I have never really payed attention to what people criticize against it.

As seen by The School Up North, Mississippi State University is full of rednecks who spend their time milking cows and wasting their time on the Drill Field. Though I am guilty of occasionally spending more time on the Drill Field than I should, MSU is nothing like the stereotype. We are down-to-earth athletes and scholars with a student body and school spirit that cannot be matched. Unlike TSUN, we are not the snobby "preps" with a Greek system to rule the University. Our Greek community is strong and we all work together to make our campus and the surrounding community so much better. Mississippi State University is very diverse in students, academics, and athletics. This is Our State! Hail State!

The stereotype at for students at my school is that we are all farmers. That is for from the truth most of our students are engineering majors and we have a very diverse campus. There are all types of people from different walks of life.

There's 3 types of crowd at MSU including: the African-American community that is self-revolving and most often limited to interpersonal activity, the mathematically talented group of engineering, math, and music students that are naturally separated by their in-depth study and need to network, and several sub groups like computer science, political science and majors of empirical study independent of mathematics. African-Americans overlap the latter two groups more than they overlap themselves. Small groups can be found at MSU that pursues any interest such as athletics, religions, international cultures, and gaming but they rarely exceed numbers beyond personal interaction. This stereotype is known by the students here and is accurate for anyone to assume if they wish to enroll here.

At Mississippi State University, most of the people are usually very friendly. There are really no stereotypes. People dress up in regular MSU related t-shirts, jackets, etc. I have found it very easy to make friends at MSU.

At Mississippi State University, the feeling of stereotype leans more toward Geeks for the school is known for its engineering school. There is indeed Greek life on campus but many students from Greek life also are engineering majors.

The main stereotypes at my school are that we are all rednecks, but it's definitely not true. Granted there are a lot of country boys there are a lot of many different types of people.

One of the stereotypes at our school is that all the students have school spirit. All the students are big fans of SEC Football
