ISU students are known for their hard-working attitude. It might seem obvious, but the person who works the hardest goes the furthest. It is important to hit the books hard and study. GPA isn't the only thing that is important though. There is a saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know that's important." Although that saying isn't neccesarily true, there is truth to it. It is very important to have connections. That is why you get involved! Join something: clubs, intramurals. Do something social. All in all, study hard and get involved.

A person that should attend Iowa State is someone who is willing to put themselves out there. I've found some of the best times I've had was just going for something I was kind of scared of. Freshmen should get involved right away, but they should also learn how to study right away as well. Studying and participating is a major part of succeeding in class at Iowa State.

I have enjoyed myself so much at this school that I would recommend anyone to go here. However, I would advise these people to be academically-driven and to be willing to be social. This school has many large classes so new students should be willing to talk to other students and aim to make new friends. There are many ways to get involved so students should definitely use these opportunities to meet new people and to give themselves these chances to grow as a person and be happy with who they are becoming at this school.

Anyone looking to pursue a 4-year degree would be great at ISU, provided they can be successful in a large campus environment.

Any kind of person can attend this school. ISU has a lot to offer, even with its large range of students. This college is mostly catered to the engineering side of campus, so people in LAS or other colleges don't get the attention (academically and financially) that is needed.
