Florida International University Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Florida International University? Why?

Isabel

The worst thing about my university is the food. There are a variety of food options, however the food supplied at Fresh Food Company is quite horrid. Students have found cockroaches running around the restaurant, they leave the same food out all day and they have the same food options all year. If Fresh Food Company could be more sanitary, have an abundance of options and add more flavor to the food, then maybe the price would be somewhat well spent.

The worst part of my school is the language barriers you have to deal with. As an English speaking American, its rough when 80{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of your peers speak Spanish.

What I would consider the worst thing about my school is that the library is not open 24 hours a day. But, there are other resources available to compensate for that.

Rena

There is no parking because it is a mostly commuter school. Finding a parking space is hard.

Michael

The drive to school based on traffic. I try to leave an hour before class and try to avoid toll roads.

Erika

The worst thing about FIU was the parking situation. Since the school is over populated, you would have to arrive on campus at least an hour or more before your class began and would have to circle to find a parking spot. This is a problem that plagues everyone and FIU at the time offered no relief.

Christopher

The worst thing I would consider about this school is the lack of campus's around south florida. I wish there was a campus closer with the classes I need to take so I dont have to drive long distances to take them.

Taylor

The Campus Housing Department. Freshmen can get upperclassmen dorms and seniors may get freshman dorms. Really unorganized. My friend who was an RA got put in a freshmen dorm his senior year.

Oscar

Parking, its a nightmare for commuters.

Sophia

I have never experienced any disaprovement in my school. The professors are great, and I love my career. I would definitely stay there to comple my master. I love my school for its academic diversity. I have learned a lot both from my peers and my professors. I like the way they provide shuttles to students to travel around the campus. It's an excellent choice to make to attend FIU. FIU has been my dream school since I first came from this country. By attending it, I always feel that my dream has come to past.
